These include new dentures, crown and bridge work, ceramic crowns,
veneers, teeth bleaching, replacing old stained resin fillings with
new resins with long term colour stability, closing gaps between
teeth, reshaping the gum line if you have a high smile to name just
a few. For a full range of services available, a check-up would be
essential.
Crowns and bridges, veneers
We use the best laboratories and ceramic technicians available to
provide the best finished result we can get.
Dentures
We now make dentures which don’t require the metal clasps to hold
them to the neighbouring teeth. This means you no longer appear in
photos with something shining in your mouth when the camera flash i
s triggered. In some photos, clasps can also look like you have
something stuck between your teeth. You will need to have a
consultation in order to assess whether you are a suitable
candidate.
Teeth whitening
Zoom teeth whitening – In chair treatment. Your teeth will whiten
up to 9 shades.
Take Home whitening – Take home kit. Do it at your leisure.
For both procedures, a clean is usually a pre-requisite. This will
ensure that we are whitening your teeth, not the buildup of tartar
on your teeth. A consultation to ensure you are a good
candidate for one procedure or the other is essential. If you have
undetected
cavities, the bleach may render the cavitated teeth extremely
sensitive forcing the bleaching process to a stop. So it’s a good

The latest in anxiety relief
This is an inhaler with a substance similar to happy gas yet much
more effective at a small additional cost but well worth it. You
will
need to inform the staff when you call for your appointment in order
to allow extra time, and will also need to arrive a little early to
sign
the consent form. You must not leave the surgery unaccompanied.
You will be unable to drive or sign official documents for
12 hours
after
receiving Penthrox.

Visiting orthodontist
Dr Victor Lalieu visits our practice on a regular basis and is one
the best orthodontists in Brisbane. Very approachable with
excellent bedside manner.
Educational DVD
Unique and comprehensive DVD on all the topics you can think
of relating to your dental treatment. All the sub-topics will cover
any questions you may have. The sub-topics are explained very
well using language which is easy to understand. They run for
approximately 2-4 minutes each.

Mouthgurads
These are usually made onsite, so the waiting time is usually short
as they don’t need to be sent to the lab for fabrication and
therefore
no time lost in transit.
Digital x-ray
This means your x-ray image is on the computer screen within
3 seconds of exposure to the x-ray sensor. In addition to that,
the amount of radiation your mouth is exposed to is
approximately 1/10th of the radiation of the normal
exposure
with the manual films and you don’t have to wait for them to be
developed! This makes the x-ray extremely safe.
The resolution on old x-ray films is usually extremely poor in
comparison to Digital x-ray resolution.
The images on old x-ray hard copy films fade with time, whereas
digital x-ray obviously doesn’t.
Digital x-ray also offers other multiple diagnostic tools available
to the dentist, such as varying contrast etc..
